Our pricing varies based on the type of event, duration of performance, and any additional sound or lighting enhancements you may choose.  That said, our packages are competitively priced—often hundreds less than comparable offerings from other area companies.

We do not charge extra for consultations, travel, setup time, holidays, or guest count. We're always available to answer your questions and help tailor a package that fits your budget.  We are happy to discuss all options to help you stay within your budget. 

We understand the concern—and you're not alone.  Many DJs assume that louder music equals better energy, but that’s a misconception often rooted in inexperience.

At SOUNDfx ENTERTAINMENT, we prioritize sound quality and guest comfort.  A skilled DJ understands how to balance volume with room acoustics, guest placement, and music style.  Volume should enhance the experience—not overwhelm it.

There’s no excuse for blasting music.  With the right equipment, knowledge, and respect for your guests, great sound can be achieved at comfortable levels.  We always aim for clarity, impact, and enjoyment—never noise. 

 Our Approach to Sound Management –

• Elevated Speaker Placement
We position our speakers high to project sound above seated guests, allowing music to travel further without excessive volume.  Speakers are always directed toward the dance floor for optimal acoustics and speech clarity.

• Continuous Volume Monitoring
We adjust volume levels throughout the event—keeping music lower during cocktails and dinner, and raising it appropriately based on activity and guest engagement. 

Your DJ will always dress professionally!  Be it a vested tuxedo (w/jacket on for weddings) or branded polo, your event theme may even call for something completely different.  No t-shirt and jeans here! .

At SOUNDfx ENTERTAINMENT, we use only high-end, professional-grade sound and lighting systems.  We never cut corners—because inferior equipment can lead to distortion, inadequate bass, and poor overall sound quality.

Our DMX-controlled lighting and vibrant effects create a dynamic, festive atmosphere on any dance floor.  Our sound systems are powerful enough to accommodate events with hundreds of guests, delivering clear, balanced audio throughout the venue.

Absolutely.  SOUNDfx ENTERTAINMENT is fully insured and committed to maintaining a safe and professional environment for every event. Unlike many newer or less experienced DJ companies, we take this responsibility seriously—for your protection and ours.

We’re happy to provide a certificate of insurance upon request, and can supply documentation directly to your venue at any time. 

Absolutely.  We always carry duplicate copies of our music library and backup equipment to every event—ensuring uninterrupted service under any circumstance.

In over 30 years, we’ve never missed, canceled, or forgotten a single event.  In the rare case of an emergency, we have a network of trusted, experienced DJs who can be dispatched immediately at no additional cost to you.

Your event is our priority, and we take every measure to ensure it runs smoothly from start to finish. 

We include a high-quality wireless microphone as part of our main sound system at no additional charge.  For ceremonies, wireless lavalier clip-type mics or, optionally, wireless handheld mics can be used.  Additional wired microphones and stands are also available. 

SOUNDfx ENTERTAINMENT specializes in music with broad appeal, while also honoring guest requests when appropriate.  Prior to your event, you'll receive planning forms to indicate your “must-play” songs, preferred genres, and any styles you'd like to avoid.

Your DJ will use this input—along with professional judgment—to curate a playlist that reflects your vision and keeps guests engaged.  Requests from attendees are considered thoughtfully, ensuring the music remains aligned with your preferences and the overall tone of your celebration. 

Absolutely—your music preferences are an important part of your celebration.  However, from experience, selecting every song can limit the overall energy and enjoyment for your guests.

At SOUNDfx ENTERTAINMENT, we encourage you to share a “must-play” list, preferred genres, and any styles you'd like to avoid.  From there, your DJ will use professional judgment to blend your selections with crowd favorites, keeping the music aligned with your vision while ensuring guests stay engaged and entertained.

A balanced approach allows for flexibility, variety, and a more dynamic atmosphere—making your event memorable for everyone. 

With decades of music collection behind us, our library includes tens of thousands of tracks across dozens of genres—covering nearly all common requests.  We do not stream music over Wi-Fi, ensuring consistent quality and reliability.

If you have a special song in mind that isn’t in our collection, we’re happy to source and purchase it with advance notice, at no additional cost.  The earlier we receive your request, the more likely we’ll be able to secure it in time for your event.  We do reserve the right to limit the number of custom song requests per event to maintain performance quality and preparation standards.
