Reliability - Our Professional DJ service has less staff to
rely on to show up and provide an optimum performance while bands tend
to have many different members, any of which may be chosen to perform at the
time of your event.
No Breaks - Because of the nature of their performance, bands must usually take breaks every 45 to 60 minutes, which leaves you without music, or perhaps with generic house music for 15 to 30 minutes. SOUNDfx ENTERTAINMENT plays continuous music throughout your party, from beginning to end!
How will the DJ Dress?
- Your DJ will always dress in a full tuxedo unless specified by you!
What do the hosts need to provide? Do you need a banquet table?
- We require a single 20-Amp
electrical outlet. That's it!
What type of Audio & Lighting equipment will SOUNDfx ENTERTAINMENT use?
- SOUNDfx ENTERTAINMENT does not cut corners when it comes to
equipment.
We use only top-notch professional lighting and sound systems. Inferior
equipment, often used in an effort to cut costs, can result in static,
inadequate bass, distortion, and generally poor sound. Computer controlled
lights and colorful effects can give the dance floor a positive
"festive" feeling.
Do you have backup equipment?
- Yes...with us at all times!
Do you have a wireless microphone? And do you charge extra for it?
- We include a wireless microphone as part of our main sound
systems at no additional charge.
What type of music will be played at my affair?
- SOUNDfx ENTERTAINMENT plays music with tremendous mass appeal, as well
as requests made by your guests. On the planning sheets, you can indicate
specific requests, and what types of music you feel are appropriate (and
also what types are inappropriate) for your party. Your DJ will use the
information from those sheets along with their professional judgment in
selecting music, and in honoring or declining specific requests.
How much do you charge?
- Our prices vary based on the requested number of hours for music
and the location of the event. We do not charge extra for our setup time, consultations, holidays, or the number of guests attending.
What if I want to determine the song list and my guests don't enjoy the selections?
- It is our goal to make your
wedding as satisfying to you as we can, this usually means making your day
special to your guests as well. Our experience has been that tastes in music
are as unique as each individual and therefore we cannot guarantee the likes
or dislikes of every individual at your event. We are seasoned and experienced
enough to read an audience and adapt musical presentations to suit the
preferences of your guests while remaining consistent to your wishes.
What if I request music that SOUNDfx ENTERTAINMENT doesn't own?
- Our music collection is one of the largest around, and does include
most usual requests. However, if you give us an advance request for music
that we don't have, we'll try to arrange to have it in time for your affair.
The further
in advance we receive the request, the more likely we'll be able to get
it. This service is offered at no extra charge, but we do reserve the right
to limit the number of selections requested specifically for your party.
Are you insured?
- We carry both liability and theft insurance.
